Adoptees United Inc. is committed to creating and maintaining an engaging and productive conference and workshop environment in which all individuals are treated with respect and dignity, welcoming and free from harassment or discrimination.
This is an adoptee-focused event, and adoptee voices are always centered. We also acknowledge common experiences across groups while honoring that all individuals hold multiple and intersecting identities and have unique life experiences.
We want to ensure that anyone present and participating today and in any AU event understands what behavior is expected and what behavior will not be tolerated.
Staff, board members, volunteers, and participants must be considerate and respectful to each other.
Staff, board members, volunteers, and participants must communicate openly and thoughtfully and encourage others to do the same.
Staff, board members, volunteers, and participants must comply with the rules, policies, and procedures of the facility.
Be respectful during any interaction, including presentations, Zoom chats, and all discussions. Verbal abuse to any participant, event organizer, staff member, vendor, volunteer, or guest will not be tolerated and will result in immediate removal from the conference venue/Zoom without a refund.
