Join us on October 19, 2021, to launch an ambitious project to secure accurate online information and context for narratives of adopted people and their rights.
Learn about the project and sign up to get involved over the course of the next year as we identify myths, tropes, and inaccurate information on Wikipedia and work to shift the public narrative while providing more accurate context to our lives and issues.
This event will initiate a major Adoptees United project over the course of the next few years, with a focus on providing more accurate and contextual information about adoptees and adoptee rights on Wikipedia. Inspired by Art + Feminism and its organized editathons, we aim to train and develop skills to become Wikipedia contributors and editors on entries directly related to adoption, adoptees, and adoptee rights.
It’s time we capture and provide truth and context for adoptee-related issues on the world’s largest online encyclopedia. Please join us on October 19, 2021, at 4:30pm Pacific/6:30pm Central. Sign up below.
