An Adoptees United workshop through the Citizenship Clinic
In our first ever event specifically directed to adoptive parents, adoptee rights advocate and immigration attorney Gregory Luce will walk through how an adoptive parent can apply for a minor child’s Certificate of Citizenship (Form N-600), from beginning to end, including:
- Documents necessary to support an application for a Certificate of Citizenship
- Creating a USCIS account
- Completing the N-600 application as a parent of a minor intercountry adoptee
- Filing the N-600, for which a filing fee is not currently required
- Monitoring the case to assure that in-person appointments are completed and any requests from USCIS are answered
- Attending the final oath ceremony and receiving the Certificate of Citizenship
When: Wednesday, March 11, 2026
Time: 4:00pm PST/6:00pm CST/7:00pm EST

The workshop will provide step-by-step instructions on how to complete and file Form N-600 online for a minor child who is an intercountry adoptee. We will provide sample documents as well reserve time for questions and answers.
NOTICE. This is a general information event to learn how to apply on your own for your minor child’s Certificate of Citizenship (Form N-600). This workshop will not provide individualized legal advice. The event will provide information about the N-600, how to complete it, and what to expect as part of the application process. Participation in this event does not create an attorney-client relationship with Adoptees United or any of the event presenters.
