A Dutch government committee that studied the history of intercountry adoption to the Netherlands issued its summary and report in August 2021. We link to the English translations here so that adopted people and their friends and allies can download and read them.
A note of deep thanks and recognition to all of the Dutch intercountry adoptees who participated in the committee’s work, provided testimony and accounts of their lived experiences, and ultimately made the reports possible.
The full report and summary is also in Dutch and runs more than 160 pages. The website of the Committee Investigating Intercountry adoption now appears to be discontinued, but the reports remain in the possession and control of the Dutch Ministry of Justice.
